As a parent, we always want to freeze precious moments in a picture to go back to years from now. The same goes with our pets - when we love something so much, they become our favorite subject in front of a camera.
Knowing a yorkie's natural hyperactive nature, it isn't exactly easy to take the most perfect photos. But there are a few tricks you can try to capture that "perfect moment" of your yorkie!
1. Make the experience fun!
Remember, make it fun, not forced. The best moments to capture is when your pup is up and about - let's say play time in the yard. Some dogs are active in the mornings, some late in the afternoon. Choosing to take photos during your pet's optimum activity time have higher chances of getting good pictures as a dog's mood reflects their body language and facial expressions.
2. Get those treats ready!
If your pup responds to treats and toys, definitely use those to your advantage. Hold a treat or a toy up and usually dogs stay still and look up for some time waiting for you to throw them - that's a good time to snap away! Also, if your pup is trained with basic commands like "sit" or "stay", use those to your advantage, too!
3. Be creative!
Sometimes the best photos are those that aren't staged. Be creative - think about different angles, backgrounds, elements, perspectives and more. Sometimes the quirkiest, most off-center photo turns out to be the best!
